2002

start with a small service – Unlimited Advantage ® and launched MyMoney®

 

This was the time when we started our company. We had no idea how far we would go, we weren’t even sure that we would be able to survive for a few years. What drove us to start the company was the understanding that we could provide a service no one else was providing. Start building our first brand for our business – MyMoney®.

 

Our company started with public practice accounting services including taxation, accounting and compliance, and small business advisory. Located in Potts Point NSW.

 

Our group company obtained its own Australian Financial Services License with a vision that accounting practices will one day required to be licensed the same as with licensing for taxation, public practice services.

2006

MyMoney Accountants

 

MyMoney Accountants grew to over to over 3000 clients, $100million client assets under administration and grew to 8 staff. Our business started offering a full range of services from mortgage broking, financial planning, accounting and taxation.

 

Our staff become CPA Financial Planning Specialists and offered the complete turn key solution.

 

We offer a revised solution for InvestorView® for crowdfunding, capital raising and central market place for issuers and investors seeking to raise awareness and capital.

 

Our business moved to commercial offices in Mascot.

2007

MyMoney Accountants – Local Knowledge

 

As the business grew, it moved away from the initial direction of the boutique business advisory that was the initial vision of the business.

 

The business was sold in 2007 and a new boutique business advisory was established.

 

The new business to this day called Local Knowledge is located at Mascot with the same staff and management.

2010

 

Boutique corporate services

 

By this time we were a well known name within the industry. Our successful transactions included privatisation of ASX listed software company including underwriting and corporate advisory and subsequent trade sale of business, Investment management of Asian Fund of Fund ASX Listed Investment Company, Company Secretarial of ASX Listed Investment Companies, establishment and founding of start up entities, intellectual property trademark defences and many other tasks and roles.

 

Local Knowledge skills and directions became the differential to others within the industry. We introduced packaged services for all our clients that enabled their business to grow, we provided detailed research and advisory on the industry and competitive behaviour, we provided predictive analysis. Our vision was to help drive our clients from looking out towards the front than driving from looking out the rear view of standard accounting.

 

Our mandate was to help our companies grow, the individuals to develop and to enhance the trust of the accountant as a business advisor. We did not go out and seek clients for the sake of the revenue and fee measure. We only undertook work where we had the skills, experience and expertise not just because we are the cheapest.

 

2016

Our journey has only brought us higher. Information Technology completely changes the way we analyze and present data. We have embraced new technologies and have ensured that our clients receive cutting edge analytics. As we go on towards the future we intend to exploit the full potential of new technologies to power our services.
